Schools from across Ireland celebrated for their dedication to road safety

Over 250 primary school children attended the Road Safety Authority’s annual Seatbelt Sheriff and Hi-Glo Silver Awards today in Dublin Castle to celebrate their efforts in making the roads safer.

One of the most vibrant and lively road safety events of the year, the RSA hosted children from schools in Cavan, Dublin, Limerick, Donegal, Cork, Louth, Clare, Roscommon and Waterford to celebrate their excellent dedication to keeping themselves, friends and families safe on our roads.

Now in its fourteenth year, the competition has seen an increase in the number of entries to the ‘Seatbelt Sheriff’ and ‘Hi-Glo Silver’ poster competitions. The awards were presented by Moyagh Murdock, CEO, RSA and David Sheehan, Assistant Commissioner Roads Policing and Major Event Management, An Garda Síochána
